Changelog
Verified release notes for the Intrect plug-ins. This page lists only versions that passed the release audit without a known blocking regression. Withdrawn builds and source-only versions are omitted; the download page always points to the current release.
New
- Optional browser connection for trials. The License panel can generate a short-lived code to connect an active de-artifact trial to the browser used to visit Intrect. Connection requires a separate, explicit agreement in the browser, helps measure visits and purchases, and can be removed from that browser. Connecting is not required to use the trial; audio and licensing behavior are unchanged.
Changed
- About 93 ms less latency. The Brightness stage's bandwidth-extension model now looks 7 frames ahead instead of 15 (the "rh7" retrain of the same student: same data, features and training, one residual block fewer). Reported latency with a 1024-frame maximum buffer goes from 13 638 to 9 542 samples at 44.1 kHz (309 → 216 ms) and from 16 156 to 11 698 at 48 kHz (337 → 244 ms). On 8 kHz low-passed music, the student's design input, a 6-seed sweep per model found the two renders no further apart than two seeds of the same model, and a level-matched listening comparison found no meaningful difference. Sources with nothing above 4 kHz get less regenerated high end than before; they are outside what the model was trained on.
- Brightness stage, CPU: the cached streaming net and polyphase output stage ported from nicerizer, 89 → 13 ms per second of audio per channel on a Ryzen 5800X.
Fixed
- At 48 kHz with a 2048-frame maximum buffer the plug-in reported 17 270 samples of latency, over Pro Tools' 16 383-sample compensation limit. It now reports 12 812.
Security
- rustls 0.23.45 → 0.23.46 (RUSTSEC-2026-0346 to 0349). It is used only by the update check's HTTPS request.
Added
- Daily usage report. After a licence state exists, the plug-in reports its format, host executable, operating system, CPU, version and the machine fingerprint already used for licensing, at most once a day. It does not send location, file paths, audio or account data. Reporting is on by default; turn it off with Share anonymous usage info in the licence panel or
INTRECT_NO_TELEMETRY=1. Turning it off does not affect licensing.
Changed
- The vendor link includes referral tags for purchase attribution.
Fixed
StreamingArtifactSoothe, a public library API not used by the plug-ins, now aligns its dry and residual paths and rejects further input after an inference failure instead of returning misaligned audio.

New
- AAX build in the macOS installer (0.4.4). The installer adds
de-artifact.aaxpluginas a selectable component for Pro Tools, installing to/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/. It is the same plug-in wrapped for Pro Tools, not a second implementation. It is Apple Silicon only (the option is not offered on Intel Macs, and there is no Windows AAX) and stereo inserts only. - Lower reported latency (0.4.4). On macOS the plug-in now reports 13,126 samples (≈ 298 ms) at 44.1 kHz with 512-sample blocks, down from 15,429 (≈ 350 ms), and 15,599 (≈ 325 ms) at 48 kHz, down from 17,322 (≈ 361 ms). Your host's delay compensation picks up the new value automatically. A larger host buffer adds about 11.6 ms per extra 512 samples; the AAX build in Pro Tools reports 13,638 and 16,156 samples with a 1024-sample maximum.
- Expired trials are clearer (0.4.6). The licence badge reads Trial ended · Buy once a trial has expired; clicking it opens the licence panel, where you can buy or enter a key.
Fixed
- AU host bypass keeps its latency (0.4.5). Bypass no longer passes audio through at zero delay while the plug-in still reports its latency, so bypassed and processed audio stay aligned.
- AU Attack/Release in milliseconds; macOS CLAP editor show/hide (0.4.5). The AU controls advertise native milliseconds, and macOS CLAP editors honour show and hide without destroying their view.
- Offline renders and resampling. Offline detection reads host-buffer timing, so several worker hops inside one real-time callback no longer trigger a false offline latch, and a resampler reserve at non-model sample rates prevents shortages during sustained processing.
- Host lifecycle (0.4.7). Activation, deactivation and state changes are now guarded against concurrent audio processing in CLAP, VST3, AU and AAX.
Existing licenses carry over. Update from the download page.
New
- 14 factory presets. The presets heard in the 0.4 campaign now ship in the Factory bank: Bmore, de-chirp, Suno V6, Stem Separation, Bring Your Breaks Bright Again, Nicerizer, Gentle Reduction, Soft Master Bus and More Harmonics. They recall the recorded starting settings; parameter sweeps and Bypass/Residual monitoring from the demos are not part of a preset. Existing User presets and saved projects are preserved.
Fixed
- Brightness reset. Resetting the plug-in no longer rebuilds the Brightness model on the audio thread.
Existing licenses carry over. Update from the download page.
New in the 0.4 line
- Brightness. Above 0, a small network regenerates the 8–22 kHz band from the cleaned signal (0.4.0).
- Frame-streaming engine at every host rate. The frame-streaming engine is the default whatever sample rate the host runs at (0.4.1).
- Early-trial help. During the first days of a trial the license panel links to the quick-start and troubleshooting guides (0.4.2).
Install 0.4.8 rather than these builds; it contains all of the above.
New
- Seven factory presets. Stereo Link Balanced, Gentle, Flow and Smooth for linked stereo processing; L/R Natural and M/S Natural for independent channel processing; H/P Soft for HPSS processing with Channel Link off. They ship inside the VST3, CLAP and AU binaries and appear in the Factory preset browser when the editor opens.
Fixed since 0.3.1
- Windows editor. Editors parented by the host (for example in REAPER) now render through WGPU (0.3.2).
- Editor resizing. Resize requests reach the host in the correct order (0.3.5).

New
- Mono instances. ENZYME loads on mono tracks as a 1-in/1-out plug-in with a mono sidechain. Stereo-only behaviour — mid/side processing and channel link — does not apply on a mono instance, and the spectrum legend no longer labels a mono signal as M/S.
Fixed
- Mono Audio Unit editor. A mono AU instance opened an empty plug-in window in Logic. The mono layout declared a stereo sidechain bus, but a host negotiates the sidechain at the instance width — Logic asks for a mono sidechain on a mono track. The rejected format made Logic drop the instance before it ever asked for the editor, with no error shown. The sidechain now matches the instance width.
0.3.0 introduced the mono layout but shipped with that regression and was withdrawn; 0.3.1 replaced it. At the time Windows stayed on 0.2.1; Windows builds resumed later in the 0.3 line.

New plug-in
- Dynamic resonance suppression. Estimates a per-bin spectral baseline and attenuates only what protrudes above it, per frame — so a resonance is pulled down while it rings and everything else at that frequency passes through.
- Harmonic / percussive / residual de-mix. An optional second stage separates the signal into three components with independent cut amounts, a 7–31 bin median kernel, three mask modes, and solo monitoring per component.
- Native AUv2, VST3 and CLAP. The Audio Unit is a real component rather than a wrapped CLAP, so Logic and GarageBand load it directly.
- Delta and Bypass monitoring. Delta plays only what is being removed. Both keep the reported 2047-sample latency, so A/B stays phase-aligned.
Fixed since 0.2.0
- Audio Unit knob writes. Moving a control in the editor now retargets the parameter smoother, so edits made from the GUI take effect in AU hosts.
14-day free trial. Download from the download page, or read the spec sheet.
Fixed
- Logic Pro AU silence. Corrected two host-buffer contract errors in the input pull path. Logic Pro playback was verified with the corrected wrapper.
- Windows installation checks. The installer now detects the Microsoft VC++ 2015–2022 x64 runtime and Windows 10 2004+ requirements before installation, instead of allowing a plug-in that cannot load to appear installed.
Existing licenses carry over. Update from the download page.
Fixed / improved
- Native inference self-check. The native path is compared with the CPU reference at load time and falls back automatically when outputs disagree.
- Active engine visibility. The editor and diagnostic report now show which inference backend is active.
- Shipping-build QC. AU validation now exercises the same feature and model configuration used for release builds.
The self-check is a mitigation for one Apple Silicon silence path, not a claim that every possible silence cause is fixed.
Added
- In-plugin update check. The editor can show when a newer channel release is available without sending device or version telemetry.
- Improved display formatting for dB controls.
- 0.1.8 — fixed AVX2 Windows audio dropouts by wiring the multithreaded executor.
- 0.1.3 — installer path and version sourcing fixes.
Versions with confirmed blocking regressions are intentionally not listed here. If you are on an older build, install the current release from the de-artifact, de-leak-rt or ENZYME download page (the version shown there is the one to install) and restart or re-add the plug-in in your DAW. Release notes for builds newer than those listed above are added here once their release audit is complete, so this page can briefly lag the download page. If a problem remains, open a support ticket with the host, OS, and diagnostic report.
